What Breed?

Alright, this is the re-written horse breed post.
What breed of horse am I most like: help me decide!
So the deal is that I would like to make a portrait of me as a horse. I just can't decide which breed to make myself (and color, but that will be a different question...)!

First question to ask yourself: What do you think I am most like? One of the light horses, like a race horse, one of the heavy horses, like a clydesdale, or something in between? If you were thinking about a pony, sorry, because I REALLY don't want to be a pony.

If you say HEAVY HORSE, then just tell me, because there are varying degrees of heaviness, but not that much, and I'm not much of an expert of drafts.

If you say MEDIUM HORSE, then read the following:
I don't know very much about medium horses, but I do know that andalusians and friesians fit into that category.

Andalusians are relatively heavy horses, but they generally are used in the saddle. They were bred as war horses so that they could carry all the really heavy metal armor.

Friesians are pretty heavy horses as well, but I don't think they are heavy enough to be actual draft horses.
They generally pull carriages, but they also do saddlework, I think especially dressage.

If your answer is a LIGHT HORSE, then read the following:
There are different types of light horses. There are horses like arabians and thoroughbreds, which can literally do any horse sport easily. There are also the sport horses, like the Hanoverians and Warmbloods, which do lots of jumping and dressage and cross country, but not much else. There are also stock horses, which do lots of western and halter showing.

This is an arabian. Arabians have very prominent faces, since they have a dish. They are generally considered a thin type of breed, and I think are used in almost everything (especially in endurance and cross country and dressage). Arabians are generally very energetic and if they are not excercised they can get really jumpy.

 This is a thoroughbred. Thoroughbreds: These are more typically race horses, and run faster for longer distances than a normal quarter horse. These are more sleek and usually are really only used for racing, although they also compete in eventing, show jumping and dressage. Thoroughbreds are very sensitive to saddles and brushes and things but in general have good temperaments.

 Stock horses are horses that do a lot of work on a ranch. Most of them are quarter horses, but there are also breeds like paints and australian stock horses. Most of these horses have big hindquarters to help them make sharp turns and stops and to run short distances really fast (maybe so that they can get a cow that's running away). If you think that I could be a stock horse, just say stock horse.

 Warmbloods are the fancy sport horses that (mostly) compete in the olympics. They usually dominate dressage, show jumping, and cross country.

 This is a Trakhener, another sport horse.
If you think I should be a sport horse, just say sport horse.

What Color?

Hey guys, I've decided... thanks for the input!

This kind of links onto my last post (the one about what horse breed I could be?), but this time I'm asking about the coat color. This page has most of the horse color range in it:

My personal favorite coat colors are grey (medium- dark), chestnut, and appaloosa (pictures are coming in a few lines).
Now, that link doesn't talk about certain patterns, like appaloosa, and paint, and others like that.

 This one on the left is called a Rabicano. I believe this can go on any color of horse, so it could be white with black, grey, or anything else.

This is a Tobiano. On this marking the markings are rounded (not sharp and jagged) and typically the legs, back and beginning of the tail are white. Tobianos can have normal face markings and there is more white than black.

This is a Sabino. It is often confused with roans and rabicanos and has high white markings on legs, white markings on the belly, often the face markings are extended beyond the eyes, and there are also sometimes white patches beyond the general white.

This is an overo. Typically the overo markings are more sharp and irregular. Usually there is more dark than white and the face is usually white with blue eyes (my horse is a bit of an exception right here). The legs are usually dark. There are also some variations, like:

The splash overo. I LOVE spalsh overos. They look awesome. I would describe them as just the bottom half of the body is white, while the upper half is the darker color. I think it's a cute color.

Last but not least are the appaloosas.
This is a leopard appaloosa (my favorite variation). Leopard appaloosas just have spots all over their body. They can have five spots. They can have 100 spots, but they are still a leopard appaloosa.

This is a leopard appaloosa as well. I LOVE the coloring on this foal.

This is a blanket appaloosa. Typically they have a "blanket" of white over their rump (which can actually go up until about their shoulders) which has spots inside it.

This is a pintaloosa, which is basically a cross between a pinto and an appaloosa. You can tell the difference on this one because a blanket is different than this pattern (especially since there aren't any other extra blankets- and this one has an extra patch on its shoulder!).

This last one I would like to point out is called a fleabitten grey. Fleabitten greys are basically white horses with little chestnut spots sprinkled across the horse's body. There can be lots, like on this horse, but there can also only be a few, and they can also be all concentrated into one place (the most common of which I think is the shoulder- there is this whole thing about "bloody shoulder arabians", which is actually just those chestnut fleabites all concentrated on the shoulder, which makes it look like it's bleeding).

What Color?

Hey guys, this is another quick questions post: What color should Black Caviar's fox-hunting be?
I was thinking something like red, blue, or green. Another suggestion was purple. Blue would match her normal racing tack and halter, but of course it isn't like she's going to wear them at the same time. So what do you think? Please tell me!

Armor or Hunting Gear? (Finished)

Armor won.
Alright guys... I have another question for you.
So you know how I'm a bit obsessed with drawing Cute Pink Pony (A.K.A. Pink Magnum) and Black Caviar in armor. Well, I came across a page about medieval hunting (like fox- hunting) and now do not know whether to draw Black Caviar in armor or hunting gear. Here are my references:

So: please tell me which you prefer (armor or hunting gear), and even if I decide to be productive and draw both it'll still be helpful (because I'll know which to draw first)!

Kiki the Unicorn Needs a Color!

Kiki the unicorn needs a coat color! Please help me choose between a liver chestnut (which is a deeper, more vibrant color):

Or a blue roan (which is funner, but a bit more dull).
