YAAAAAY!!!

Just because I can't think of any good post names I have come up with a special word: yaaaaay. just because of that lack of names. But that is not what I am here to talk about. Mom is back- and she is an awesome mom! I did not only get the american saddlebred and quarter horse stallion, but another painting set as well (with the warmblood, cantering warmblood, and scrambling foal)! Here is a picture of the soon- to- be- painted horses:
Going from top row to bottom, left to right: American Saddlebred (Paddock Pals scale), Quarter Horse Stallion (Paddock Pals scale), Cantering Warmblood (Stablemates scale), Warmblood (Stablemates scale), and Scrambling Foal (Stablemates scale).
The saddlebred will be painted first.
Here is the color description for the saddlebred (skip if you do not speak horse): A flaxen chestnut with no markings on right front leg, a high stocking on left front leg, a fetlock on right hind leg, and a sock on left hind leg. Has a star and large snip (maybe broken stripe?), some dapples as well (you should know about those if you're reading the horse articles). Is realistic to breed and can be a pure- bred. Is a mare.
Color description for quarter horse stallion: And extensive black leopard appaloosa. It is rare for quarter horses to be in this color, but possible. A stallion (possibly not purebred, possibly a quarter horse cross).
Color description for cantering warmblood: bay pinto with bald face. Is a pinto dutch warmblood. A mare. Here is one of the reference pictures:

I believe it will suit her. I am still researching the colors for the warmblood and scrambling foal. I will probably discover them soon.
This is the reference for the warmblood. Here is his color description: Very light grey. Has dapples, dark points on legs, black hooves, and dark mane and tail. Also has dark muzzle. Is a purebred hanoverian stallion.
I only need this one reference picture for him because this pattern is very easy. The hooves will be different (all of the grey), because I like seeing horses with dark hooves where there are white markings instead of light. This is just about personal preference.
This is my reference for the scrambling foal. She will have different foot and facial markings, but that's about it. This pattern is easy to follow as well so I only need one side. The only ones I really need two sides for are the paint and appaloosa. That's it. Here is the color description: red roan with three fetlocksand sock on left hind leg. Has small star and snip on face. Is a mustang filly (I have looked at pictures for all of them and their conformation is right).

Take a look at this next picture:
Look who I believe is finished! I still have to check with my advisor/ teacher, but I believe she is done! This is her prettiest side, I think. It is just because of her mane and tail. I am so happy she is almost finished! Any comments? For a first sculpture she isn't too bad, right? Please comment!

Also, the expo was yesterday. It went so well! I could answer all the questions and it was very cool. I had fun!

AHHHHH!

Guess who won the race! Yes, it was BLACK CAVIAR! Yes!!! Yes!!! I knew she could do it. My Dad recorded the whole thing on the TV so now I can watch the whole race- opening ceremonies, and everything. Yay! That was Mom's idea. I'm so happy! Black Caviar is a 22 for 22. I saw in the newspaper a quote from her trainer or something that said she was closer to the end of her career to the beginning. Oh no! But that's okay. The horse has to retire sometime. She smashed the record three times! Hihi. I think she will be racing in some other race in England soon. I think that's the deal. I can't wait! She was racing against the best horses in the worl in that race- and she won! The Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot! The queen of England was there! And she patted Black Caviar! So awesome. Here is the photo finish (look to the top...). Luke Nolen (her jockey) was slowing her down to not pressure and this other horse (called Moonlight Cloud) just came up from behind her. Luckily she still made it.
Onto the soccer game. Our team is not doing well. We lost 2-0. Yup. There are a lot of silly things that some of my team mates are doing that they have and are being repeatedly told not to do. I hope it will get fixed.
Today I also watched the movie Brave! It's that movie about the scottish princess from Disney. I really liked it. It's cute, although there are some parts with bears and attacks. But my sisters could watch it.
Tomorrow is the integrated expo! Yeah! Finally it is going to be over (not that I didn't like it, it was better than last time). Hopefully it will turn out alright. You must remember that following the last expo it was vacation- and it is! Yay! It starts in sometime in July. Next week is the last week of school!
Mom is coming back tomorrow- I'll see her after school!
I think I will start on Star's Mane right now, too.

News

First: Mom isn't coming till Monday! Right when she was going to leave on her flight it was cancelled. Apparently New York was having a big thunderstorm. That was just pure bad luck. But then luckily she found another flight that will arrive on Monday morning. I guess it could have been worse.
I still can't wait for that painting set! I have discovered tips on how to prep the horses, paint them, and then finish them! Even if I don't have matte spry I can still gloss the eyes, hooves, and nose. So excited for that!
Yesterday I also went ice- skating with my soccer team! I thought I wasn't going to do too well, but I actually wasn't that bad and had a fun night!
And OMG, Black Caviar is racing today at 12:45! I wish I could watch it, but the ceremonies start at like 11:00 p.m. Melbourne time, and honestly, I can't stay up that long. You should see my wardrobe right now, though- it has almost no room to fit anything on top of it now! I've gained like 5 articles since the last time I wrote! Really! And tomorrow I will have 1 or 2 more. I do need that poster (whether it reports the loss or win- I bet it is going to be the win)! While I was looking for my favorite picture on my wardrobe look what came up:
That is the picture that dominates The Herald Sun's front page (on the internet).

Okay, after like 10 minutes of searching, I couldn't find it (the photo). Too bad. When mom gets back I'll take a picture of my wardrobe so you can see it. So yup! That's basically it! I have my soccer game tomorrow and will have a post about that.
The last thing is that Nobody has asked to be on the mailing list- I am sure it would be very convenient for some people! I'm always open for requests.
And OMG!!! BLACK CAVIAR!!!!!!!!!

EARTHQUAKE!

So at about quarter to nine (or was it quarter to ten) on Tuesday there was a magnitude 5.3 earthquake. It was (I think) 120 km away from Melbourne. We still felt it here (not me). My dad was just sitting watching TV, when all of a sudden... shake! He thought that the washing machine was going to explode. I thought that was funny. So that was that. Everybody felt it but me. Why am I left out!?
Anyways, remember what I said about Black Caviar going to the race on Tuesday? Well, I asked my dad to buy the newspaper so I could see if she won and discovered that the race was on Saturday instead. Obviously we had a bad source. But I did get a beautiful picture that was worth the whole newspaper (in my opinion, it was one of those professional ones). I'll post a picture of my wardrobe when Mom gets back. I also found out that there's a taxi in London which is painted salmon and and black polka- dotted- those are Black Caviar's jockey silk colors! I guess we have a Black Caviar supporter there.
I can't resist putting a picture there- the posts look so boring otherwise! TOday I have soccer practice. Mom still needs to come back- we'll see her on Sunday! And then maybe I'll start prepping my horses (she's the one who is going to bring them back).
Also, You may not have seen it yet, but I have decided to make a mailing list for people who want to know when I have just posted a post. If you want to be added, email me and then I will put you on the mailing list. Then you will only have to check my blog whenever there actually is a post!

Peekaboo

I found this cute picture... it's not mine, but anyways. I call it "Peekaboo". The horse is so cute.
There is no real post today... just peekaboo. Tell me if you want to subscribe for the mailing list.

Dapples

Yup! This is the much- anticipated post about dapples! Dapples are little round light patches on a horse's coat. Like so (look to the side, technical difficulties): I love dapples.
But before you read anything else, I would like you to read this quote from someone who kindly corrected me on some of my points "dapples are not genetic. they can also appear on all horse colors. dapples usually occur when a horse's coat is changing colors, which is why they are most commonly seen on greys. greys are born one color, and slowly change to grey as they age, which is why there are very light greys that appear white, and darker dapple greys." I am keeping all the other original information on the post, though, just because other people have said otherwise about the matter and I don't actually know which is true (although I'm leaning towards the quote, I'm pretty sure that person knew what she was talking about).
I believe they can appear on any color coat except for duns. But I saw that somebody who had a dun got dapples! Who knows. Maybe the horse is a chestnut. Anyways, dapples are weird. They most commonly appear on grey horses, and don't appear as commonly with chestnut horses (don't ask). There are also different kinds of dapples! I think I basically just showed you classic dappling. Here is some star dappling:  There are basically three kinds of dapples (as far as I know): Classic, star, and reverse. Star dappling is my favorite. Do you see that some of the dapples in the right- hand corner look a bit like stars? Well, there you go.
Here is some reverse dappling (it actually looks okay!). It is basically like classics dappling, except the dapples are darker instead of lighter. I probably would've gotten this confused with a leopard appaloosa, but I wouldn't have been sure. I learned something new today!
I have looked up how dapples are caused, but I don't think there is much of an answer. Some people say that their horses have dapples some years and not others. Other people say that dapples are a sign of health. I even saw one person say that they felt the edge of their horse's dapples and that they felt oily. Some people thought that dapples are just purely genetic. I don't know why any of that happens. So yup! Here is my not- so- short article about dapples that I was dying to do!
(by the way, there's a normal post under this)

Stuff

Finally, a decent blog title! No, just kidding. I don't know what to call it, though. There isn't really anything special going on. Onto real life events (conveniently numbered for convenience!):
1. My soccer team played the best team in the whole league. I don't even know the score. It was something like 5-0 (of course my team lost). I was defender for a half and it was something that I will remember for some time. The girl that was forward on my side was literally a steam engine. Like seriously, she would grab the ball and go head- first into you! Luckily I am one of the bigger members of the team so I was able to push her back and grab the ball and dodge her (once you have the ball, you have to get rid of it, or else she will kill you for it). I actually kind of liked it. Tough competition. It was fun. I should play with steam engines more.

2. Mom's gone to America. She will come back on Sunday. WITH MY PAINTING KIT! Yay! I can't wait to get it! I want to see how good I am at painting kind of realistic! I want to try to make it realistic. I'll even prep it like real model horse customizers will do! I will also try to make the eyes as realistic as I can and gloss the muzzle, hooves, and eyes. I am also thinking of adding MMM to prove that it is my custom. If I am good enough maybe I can keep trying and get as good as some youtubers like Cinnamonmewmew or XxBrokenPandaxX. They are REALLY good. And they're only a few years older than me! It would be cool to be able to paint that good.

3. I believe Black Caviar will be racing TOMORROW! Problem is, it'll be on at 1 a.m. here. Not that I would have been able to find a channel with racing on it. But I am SO EXCITED! What if my girl wins? She'll break her own record! AGAIN! I've moved her souvenir poster next to my hand- made Ruffian one :)

4. The expo is on next week! I am starting on my draft. I hope it is decent.

5. I know I haven't really done anything on horses lately, so maybe I'll make a little article on dapples. I love dapples  :)

6. I know that like a quarter of that was straight nonsense. But it is MY rantings, right? I like talking non- stop (when it's something I'm good at talking about. Like horses :D). Okay. Onto homework (and, of course maybe dapples post!). Yup. I've got homework. I like having attention here, though. It makes me feel awesome, you know? Like I've got the famous MMM stables in my ROOM! I feel proud. And don't get me going on how I love putting pictures up of my model horses...

7. AHHHH! A POST WITH STRAIGHT TEXT! Sob... I actually LIKE pictures ):

8. I just saw that this is my 100th post! Can you believe it?

9. I've decided to make an emailing list- every time I make a post I email you! Email me to add you to the mailing list.

10. My B- Day is in EXACTLY three months (over reaction...)

11. I am almost sure that I am going to make Star's mane and tail today!

12. I absolutely LOVE editing these things (that is what I'm doing)!

Lah Lah Lah...

Today is Friday (yay)! There was soccer meet today, and we say two players from the Melbourne Victory soccer team. Their names were Adama Traore and Adrian Leijer. Adama was a left mid fielder (if I heard right) and Adrian was a defender. It was really cool! We got a picture with them:
We also got a poster with the team and their signatures on it. It now has it's own place on my wardrobe. Adrian is the one on the left and Adama is the one on the right. Cat is in between them, and I'm behind her! I also got a sausage there (randomly off topic kind of...). It was yummy.
Life goes on. Last week I didn't tell you what the results for my soccer game were because I didn't have one. I have one this Sunday, though. We'll see how that goes. The big expo I was talking about is not next Monday, but the Monday after that one. I'm going to start writing my draft this Monday (I will not say what it is to surprise my parents)! I'm so excited! I do have to figure out what duodenitis- proximal jejunitis is, though. I've already tried and didn't really understand what the thing was saying. I'll try again. So yup. That's about it.

Decisions!

Okay, since I haven't received any submissions for anything, I would like to announce the winner for the stable name:

M2A's Magical Mounts (MMM)

I think that one sounds nice. Sorry if I didn't pick yours :(   There were a lot to choose from, and only one could be picked.

Also, I would like to announce the winner for the horse color contest. I know that I am cutting it off short, but I just couldn't stand the suspense (yes, I am impatient... oh well)! So here it is:

Yup, this is our beloved stallion. I decided that since nobody had emailed me any votes for the color contest either that I would be the tie- breaker. The stallion wins, 4-3! I know that it is kind of weird that I held the vote then finished it off myself, but I can be very indecisive at times, and then suddenly make my mind up at others. Yesyerday I just stared at both the colors, and then couldn't resist how funny the spots were on the stallion... so that's the story. Sorry if you were a little bit
late to vote, but it is what it is. You'll survive.
Sorry for whoever voted for the filly and lost... she was very pretty, but her pattern wasn't as cute: that was her downfall.
And last about the vote: Yes, the second picture is of a different horse. Whoever noticed that must have good eyesight. I picked that one because it was a horse that almost perfectly matched the stallion. I might have to make the spots a little bigger, but that's fine. I only need these references to see where to put these spots: making a random pattern is harder than you think.
School, started today. We went on with life as usual. I am making a script for a short film that I will hopefully make for tropfest and am also preparing for the next expo (this time it is about Australian history, though). I think that project will be fun (it has a horse in it!).

Tons of Suggestions!

Today I have definitely gotten a lot of barn name suggestions:
-Stallion Stables
-MMM- M2A's Magical Mounts
-Happy Horse Hotel
-Crazy Horse Hotel
-M2A's Equestrian Folly
-Rancho "Los Picachitos" (Ranch "The Picachitos")

I am considering all the names (full list at the end), but I think the one that is winning out is MMM, or M2A's Magical Mounts. I just like the sound of it (and the abbreviation is easy to remember too!). I have just decided that I will not give you guys a vote because then it will be hard to weigh my opinion against yours. Sorry. It is my barn, though. Anyways, just about the last one on the list: "Picachitos" is a name referring to Picachu and how small he is. Basically, my aunt said it basically means "Ranch the Little Ones" or something like that. I can't say it exactly. So yup. Here is the rest of the list:
-M2A's Horse Bedrooms
-Rancho Caballo Magico (The Magic Horse Ranch)
-Stan St. Stables

-Last Name Equestrian Center
-Hoofbeat Hill
-StarShine Stables
-M2A's Magical (or marvelous) Meadow

I will be looking at all of these names (but as I said before, I think we've got our winner), so I will tell you my official decision soon!

I also need your votes about the horse colors. The horses are tied right now, 3-3. I am actually trying to make a decision myself (and will be leaning towards the stallion), but would always like feedback from you! When I get the horse- painting set I will tell you guys who won the vote and if I've made up my mind at all. I do like both horses. So yup. If you want to, still submit a vote!
(Scroll down a lot now)

Yay! New reference pictures! I knew that you would get bored with the usual pictures- and I still have one more for the stallion (later)! For the filly, ignore the weird grey undertone thing. I don't really like it, and its not like I can paint THAT good (well, I bet I could if I wanted to). The first picture is of the stallion and it is just a close- up of his face so that I can paint it more easily. My other reference picture is of the left side, but a different horse. They match enough to seem like almost the same horse, though. I think now that I'm going  to end up liking the stallion more, but I am not completely sure yet.

As for real life, nothing much has happened today. I have finished my book and will start a new one tomorrow. We were going to the Zoo, but never got around to doing it. My computer has also been kidnapped (I am writing on my mom's)! My parents want to record movies and my computer is the only one who can do that. Also, school starts tomorrow (Dun dun dun!!). I have gotten a new alarm clock so hopefully I'll wake up early enough (actually, I will).

(Sorry about really big space and weird text differences)

What can I Call this Post?

Today was fun. Most of the family went to a science museum. There was an exhibit about Wallace and Gromit (I can't tell you about it, though, I wasn't there). I went to a friend's house. We filmed a movie. It was about hexbugs invading the world, and I was one of the main characters, easily recognizable by the extremely crooked glasses. It was really fun to film, and it took us lots of tries to get the scenes right. Especially the first one, where I was like the only person on camera. But it was really fun. There isn't much else to say about today- I'm reading about vampires.
Okay, this is an update about what is going on with the horse colors:
The Stallion
3 votes (winning by one)

The Filly
2 votes (losing by one)

If you want this changed, then please vote! I will use whatever color the vote is at when I am ready to paint the horse. I will hold off on it, though.

This is what I have gotten for stable names:
-M2A's Horse Bedrooms
-Rancho Caballo Magico (The Magic Horse Ranch)
-_______ St. Stables
-M2A Equestrian Center
-Hoofbeat Hill
-StarShine Stables
-M2A's Magical (or marvelous) Meadow

I am thinking on them right now. You still have time to submit a name, though! I will consider it. You can also vote on a name you like (there has already been a vote for Rancho Caballo Magico [Magic Horse Ranch]).

If you need a reminder of what the horses (for the color- picking) look like, then here are the pictures again:
 This is the filly.
This is the stallion.

Please vote! I want more than five people to vote. Please.

Chestnut

Today's horse color is chestnut. It is basically a red horse, except there is some brown in it. There is no such thing as a bright red horse. There is only chestnut. Here is a picture of a sorrel chestnut:

Sorrel chestnuts are the lighter variations of the color. They look almost like palominos. This color is also called a flaxen chestnut. Another example of a horse color with different names.

Next color of chestnut is th mealy or pangare chestnut. This is the lightest extreme of the color. I believe that all haflinger ponies are this color. First time I saw one of these ponies, I thought that it was a palomino. Not a chance. I guess this color is a chestnut because there is a slight reddish tinge. I guess I will be able to tell the difference between colors now.

This is a liver chestnut horse. This is the darkest extreme of chestnut color. Some people may get it confused with a bay or maybe even a black, but there is a difference. If I didn't know about liver chestnuts, I wouldn't know what to call this horse. It does have the slightest reddish tinge.

This kind of chestnut is the basic chestnut. Kind of like the standard bay, but in chestnut form. This color is very similar to the flaxen chestnut, basically the same. But there is a difference: the mane and tail. The mane and tail on the flaxen chestnut are very light, and the mane and tail on this horse is the same color. So there you go. That is basically it.

Oh yeah: I forgot the gene (or color pigment. Again, I don't know the wording). It is called pheomelanin. Chestnut horses do not have black as a base color, but only red. It is kind of predictable.

Vacation!

Yep! I'm on vacation! And no, not because it is because it is the end of term. Today the teachers of Victoria were protesting since the government promised to give them a pay raise but didn't. Basically all my teachers went to protest. Then tomorrow is vacation to celebrate the Queen's birthday- and Monday too. That might be her actual birthday. But who knows. Anyways, my mom is going to America in a week or so and has offered to get me some stuff I want to buy. I asked her for a horse panting set, to see if I can make decent- looking horses. These are the horses (ignore  color, they will be blank when I paint them):
This is the saddlebred model, which I think is the best. I will show you my reference color for this one soon.
This is the quarter horse stallion. Since I want these horses to be as realistic as possible, I have researched what color limitations these breeds have. Saddlebreds have none, but quarter horses are restricted in a way. I wanted my quarter horse to be a leopard appaloosa and have discovered that some quarter horses are indeed leopards. So then I started researching, and have come up with two color choices. I am undecided. Could you please help me choose between this one:

And this one?
Please ignore their age groups. I am just looking at color. I love this stallion because I love his pattern, and I love this filly because her pattern is very intricate. I cannot decide. Please help me, and leave a comment below! I will keep reminding you to comment until I actually get these horses and paint them- please give your opinion! I will be keeping count. If you want the first picture, say "The Stallion". If you like the second better, say "The Filly". Please do say- I need more than two votes! Life is going normal. Today I did all my homework and read my book. Nothing interesting. Also, comment about a stable name- I have only two submissions (from now on I will be keeping suggestions in my gmail account and will add any new ones)! Please help. And check my blog about every week. It can't hurt.
Oh yeah, I promised to show you my reference for the american saddlebred:
This is for the base color. I thought it would look nice. And, of course, this color can be found on saddlebreds.
I will use this picture for the horse's facial markings. I originally wanted these on the quarter horse, but then found out about the appaloosa pattern- I don't think that I could fit this in. I love this facial marking- especially the pink nose. Hopefully these horses will turn out the least bit realistic.

I promise this is the last thing:
Look at Black Caviar! She looks amazing in this picture. I don't know where I found it, but I'm glad I did. This picture looks like it was taken for a movie. Maybe it was shot for something professional. Still. This is a very inspiring picture. I would call it "A New Hope" or "A New Light". Something like that.

Bay

My first real post for horses (other than the introduction) is about solid coat colors. Okay, maybe just shades of brown. But don't abandon this if it sounds boring. Because there are A LOT of shades of brown (or that's what you would call it...). First up, there is the color brown. Easy. This is what it looks like:
This is only one shade of many. Brown in the horse world is called bay. Bay is the most common horse color, but it has a lot of shades, like I said before: light bay, standard bay, blood bay, dark bay, black- bay, seal bay, mohagony bay. I also want to make the point that often one shade of color has different names, such as, in the simpler naming, dark bay. All of the following are the same color: black- bay, seal bay, mohagony bay, and brown (the picture here has that shade). I don't know why they are called different things. I also want to show you a blood bay, because I think that might be my favorite shade of bay:
You might not be able to see it in the picture, but this horse has a hint of red to it's coat. Blood bays are beautiful, especially the darker ones. I will also show you a darker, standard, and light bay (just for feel):

This is, as you might guess, a dark bay. At first sight I would probably be calling it seal bay, because that is just how I recognize the color as. I think an example of a dark bay horse that I know is Black Caviar (ever heard of her?). She's got the same yellow tinge.
This is the standard bay, what you would expect a brown horse to be. Well, maybe a little lighter. But you can't complain. I do have to say, though, this is the stereotype for a horse. I don't blame anyone for it, though. A lot of horses are standard bay.
This is the light bay. At first sight you might think it was a palomino. But I don't think palominos have a black mane and dark legs. Palominos are limited to cream manes, I think. But that will come later.
Correction: "Actually the light bay you pictured is in fact a buckskin.
Touch Gold is a really good example of a true light bay.
One of racehorse's is by him and he produces really nice looking foals!"

Thank you! I would have never known (I can never tell the difference between buckskin and bay, I am a MESS)! And just if you haven't realized already, that quote isn't mine, but another person's. She probably knows this stuff better than I do :)
Also: "You could also add in the color, Wild bay. It's really a quit beautiful color and the main color for the Przewalski wild horses."
Thank you for that too, I really had no idea it existed (and I LOVE the coloring on prewazlki's horses as well, I have to draw one sometime!). Here is the color:

Before I end this, I would also like to point out that the color gene that modifies a horse's color to bay (I don't know if I'm wording this right) is called agouti. Basically, all horse colors come from the base of black and red (although some horses don't have those bases, like chestnuts [red horses]... it is complicated). The agouti gene basically restricts the black to the legs, making the red take more control. That is all I can gather from my sources (genetics is very complicated, I guess).Hopefully you guys have liked this post. When I have done (what I think is) all the base colors, then I will move on to patterns like pinto and appaloosa... I think I might even dedicate a little tiny post to dapples (there is not much to say about them) just because they are so funny and I love dapple grey horses. By the way, two of the horses in this post have dapples. I will talk about them later. See you next time!

That bibliography was for my teachers, if they look.

Horses Label

I am adding a new "Horses" label to my blog. This part of my blog is specifically about horses and model horses... because I like that nonsense. You don't need to look... Just for the horse lovers (and whoever needs to research some aspect about the horse). Hope that you people like. This is also for my own learning- colors, breeds, etc.... so excited to get started! I don't know how frequently this will be updated and stuff, but when it is, hopefully it will fill you up with information. And hopefully it won't be boring.
And if you are a horse lover yourself, please comment! Please tell me if you are looking (its okay, nobody has to say anything, I'll still write with free time).

Camp Wyuna

Okay, so I just came back from Camp Wyuna Friday. It was really fun. Here are the activities we did:

-The Canoe Challenge (didn't get to go on a canoe, not me at least)
-Damper making? Something like that.
-Beach Combing
-Giant Sling
-Bike Riding

Yup. The canoe challenge was kind of fun. I say kind of because first I didn't get to actually touch a canoe, second I had to plug holes with stinky water in then and third I get splattered in my arms, face, and other parts of my body with that water. I wasn't very happy about that. But oh well. I kind of liked the overall idea (I just wasn't equipped well for it).
This is not in order, just by the way. The damper making was fun. Damper is a kind of aboriginal bread (correct me if I got the name wrong) and it is weird to make because you get dough all over your fingers. That dough is really stubborn and likes to stick to your fingers. But that was okay. I got to stuff marshmallows and chocolate into it. Then I got to EAT it! It was yummy (but I somehow managed to get melted chocolate all over my hands and face and even my foot). While we were waiting for it to cook we went down to the (gorgeous) beach and got to walk in the water a little. It was fun.
The beach combing was a big walk along the beach. We had to search for seashells and stuff (but didn't get to keep any because it hurts the environment). There was these little competitions for seashells and I won the one for the most bumpiest. I am proud.
The giant sling was awesome. There was these giant slings that three people had to operate. Basically a person got to sling water balloons at people. I was like a magnet for balloons. I had to jump over one, and twist my back for another. I almost got hit in the face two times by the same person. That was why it was so fun! After the giant sling we had extra time so we played the pipe game. It is hard to explain but everybody gets a little segment of pipe and has to pass a ball from pipe to pipe into a container. That was pretty fun. Except we (my team) failed at it a few times. Who cares. We got it in two times.
The bike riding was the best one, I think. It was along the beach. You know, the GORGEOUS beach. Sad thing about it: it is the third most dangerous boating channel or something to  go through. It has a giant rip. One of the Australian prime ministers died because he wouldn't listen to the people who told him that swimming in this place was dangerous. He probably drowned. Also, when we were biking, I was just singing "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh" randomly and then this huge wave comes and I'm like "OH MY GOSH!" It was really funny.
You could not go hungry in that camp either. They keep you well fed. There is Breakfast, morning tea (with no tea), lunch, afternoon tea (again with no tea), and then dinner. The desserts were delicious. Another thing is that the first night we stayed there we had a campfire and roasted marshmallows. I caught mine on fire because it tastes better that way (if you blow it out fast). The second night there was a disco. I tried to do very odd dance moves. When the teachers were giving away awards before we left I was expecting to get the coolest dance move award but got most enthusiastic camper instead. I prefer the last one (although dance moves are cool...).
Also, take a look!
The little stablemate barn is finished. And I have created the last barn: the schleich one! Yes, I finally got glue sticks! Yes! I'm very excited. I will be in the process of making blankets for all the horses. It is after all winter! I still need a name for my barn. Really.
Oh, and just by the way, my team won 1-0 today. Really happy about that.
So: Please post comment about stable name. I have only gotten two suggestions.
Please also post comment about the stables. Are they good are they bad? I need feedback!
And last: Comment about my actual writing! What do you want to know about life in Australia? Do you want to see more art? What do you want that art to be of (si, papa, lo estoy haciendo me he recordado)? That last part was meant for a person in particular. Not you evil english speakers! Just kidding. I speak english too. So yup. Barn name?Stable comments? Feedback? Artwork? Feel free to comment!
