Camp Wyuna!

Okay, so I might have said this before, but grades 5 and 6 are going to Camp Wyuna! And this Wednesday! It will be fun. I'll tell you all about it when I get back (on Friday or Saturday).
Okay, on to past things. Two weeks ago my team tied (AGAIN) 0-0. This week we didn't do very well. We lost 3-1. That was because we had a terrible goalie second half- and also our defense wasn't so great at times. Oh well. Hopefully we will get better results next game (I'll tell you about that too).
On to my projects. No, I haven't gotten glue sticks yet. I can't wait :(  I am also planning to give star (the horse I am sculpting) some details. I'll fix up her legs and then I will start giving her ears and eyes and such- so excited! I also have not gotten any name suggestions (except for one: Melana's Horse Bedrooms). I will consider that one, but I still want more variety. Please? It is just a little name. Doesn't matter if it isn't good. My friend here was brave enough to say something! I have also been given the name El Rancho de Caballos Magicos (which translates to Ranch of the Magic Horses), but I am not sure. I guess you guys could say which one you prefer (or, of course, suggest one yourself). Comment below. I won't miss your comment.
Okay, next to the weird topic. I can't tell you my name, but I can tell you where my name came from: Star Trek Voyager. I discovered it the other day when I was watching it and my mom commented on it. Apparently my parents misheard the name (because it starts with a different letter) and thought it was nice. At least I wasn't deliberately named after an alien.
So yup. Any suggestions? I could put up more art or something. But I don't know what you guys want :(  I'll be waiting!

A few hours later (yes, I can EDIT these... I love doing that):
Yay! Here is Star! She is almost done. Her other side has not been detailed (yet...). So proud of her! Especially her face! Her face is GORGEOUS! So happy. The mane and tail will be coming shortly (whenever I get working again). I just decided that since I didn't want to work anymore on her that I would put up some pictures... do you like? Any comments (stable name)? Post!

Gurgle

I like that word. Gurgle. Gurgle. GURGLE. It is funny. Anyways... tomorrow I have a soccer game. I have made progress on a project. But first, epic picture:

It is called empty world. It happened when I was trying to make a coloring page (which I am still in the process of). I just stopped working for a second and went "Whoa. That picture is cool." Then I saved it as an image of it's own. Good thing I did, too. It does remind you of an empty world with only one being in it, though, right? It is actually kind of funny, since in class I made up a story about the world ending and only one person surviving (but then he blows up on a train, so...). I just thought that would be fun to share with you all.
This is one is totally cool too. I was just playing around with the software. I wanted to call it technicolor, but of course it isn't in color, so I called it Abstract Ruffian instead. Ruffian is this sculpture's name.

Next, an actual project:
Bear with me and try to see it- the pencil outline is finished! Now I can go on and add the color. I wonder how long that will take. Tell me what you think about it!

Okay, now to real life. Yesterday a strange occurrence happened. I saw an old lady. On a bike. With two dogs on a leash tagging along. And a child in front. The old lady was on one of those weird cargo bikes, with a trailer in front. THe kid was sitting in the trailer, and the old lady was just holding the two dogs by their leashes. I cannot recall, but maybe she had a few grocery bags with her too. It was hysterical.
Tomorrow is my soccer game. I'll keep you posted.
And please, PLEASE, somebody comment and help me come up with a name for the barn (I still haven't gotten glue)! I can't think of anything, and nobody has said anything. Please help? Comment below. ------>

The Weekly Summary

So, just some quick updates:

#1: My team tied 0-0. We put up a good fight.

#2: MY RIGHT HAND IS BIGGER THEN THE LEFT!

#3: I ran out of hot glue so I can't keep making the stables- I also need a creative name for the stables- comment and say what you think it should be (I will announce the winning name if someone comments). Here's a picture:

This is the big stable, which I have finished. The smaller one (in the other picture) is unfinished. That is what I meant.

See, here it is. It is for the smaller horses.

#4: I am participating in a spanish writing contest. I am thinking of different kinds of poems to do with andalusian horses (but have not come up with very good ones) and I am starting to do an illustration for it. Take a look:
I know you can barely see it, but try to anyways. It is barely a start. I am hoping for it to be pretty realistic and am (of course) going to take forever on it. I have until August. Now I will show you my reference for the pose. The color will come whenever I will start that. Here it is:

I thought it was absolutely beautiful and fell in love immediately. I think I will show you the color too:

I really liked the color on this guy and will challenge myself to get the color right.

That's it for now- until probably next week! And remember to give me a name idea!

Updates!

Okay, so on to the updates: first news, the soccer game. My team won 3-0. The first goal I almost scored. The ball bounced off the goalie and in front of one of my team mates. I have been very busy lately- let me show you.
Project #1:
I have been working on this for months now, I have just not really told about it. It may resemble a horse to you. It is a horse- but it's still in progress. I will show you when I'm done (which might be in like two months... or more). It is called Star. I have had this idea stuck in my head since I was a little kid, so... I decided to get in contact with someone who knows this kind of stuff and start. I am making very slow progress, but at least it is progressing at all.

Project #2:
A stable! Yup, I really did that. Started yesterday. It is still in progress (needs two more and then I'm done!). As you can see, my horses seem to like it. Just in case you're wondering about the gaping holes that real horses could escape from... I'm on that. I just need some string. I never thought that popsicle sticks could make such a nice thing... hopefully it'll stay together!

Project #3:
Recognize the fabric? Those spools of thread are going to be my tassels! Yay! I have everything to make my very complicated arabian costume- I'm so happy! And as with Star... this will take forever. But who cares! I have all the time in the world.

So as you can see, I am keeping myself occupied. Creativity is awesome! Also, one more picture:
Anyone know who this is? She has re- populated my wardrobe (replacing some drawings of mine)! She is the best race horse ever- BLACK CAVIAR! She is like the next Secretariat, Ruffian, Phar Lap... you name it! She won a record of 19 races in a row- this record was set by an American horse (don't know the name)! And then she broke her own record by winning 20 in a row! Isn't she so awesome? If there is ever a model horse of her, I will have to have it- and it better be in the Ruffian mold (if you don't follow, that's okay)! She is the best. I also include a drawing made by Ms. CinnamonMewMew of youtube... Wow! It's so cool! It's Phar Lap all over again!

P.S. Take a look at the post underneath this one- it's about the Hunger Games!

Hunger Games

Like everybody my age, I am obsessed with The Hunger Games, and I have noticed that some plastic horses of mine look an awful lot like I envision the characters. I did all the main characters (including Cato and Clove, since everybody loves them), and some of them I just picked out of my collection. First up:

This is Katniss. I was about to make her the horse that Prim is (yes, there is Prim) but decided that this horse looked more brave and decided and wise, in other words more like Katniss.

Next up is Peeta. This is the horse that made me want to make these photos. He looks brave and strong... yet innocent. I believe that fits Peeta's personality best.

Now this is Gale. He isn't exactly a main character, but oh well... I believe this would be like him, don't you agree?

Now this is Prim, or Primrose. I wanted her to be this horse since it looks innocent and scared and beautiful... I think that fits Prim.

This is Effie! Effie Trinket. Again, she is not a main character but oh well... I thought all the spots matched her... but not the wise expression.

This is Haymitch (not drunk). Considering that he won a Hunger Games quarter quell, I thought he would look good this way. I just thought this horse was perfect for him.

As promised, here are Cato and Clove. Cato is very strong, and Clove is meaner than she looks.

So this is just my post about the Hunger Games- hope you liked (sorry that there was two posts today).
