Hawaii!

We finally arrived in Hawaii! I was too busy to write on the last day in Washington, but there wasn't anything really important. We boarded a plane to Denver and I stayed there for one night. Luckily, one of my friends was having a sleepover, so I got to spend that last night with some of my friends. I left the party early and got there really late, so I was not the best guest they could receive. So I left the party early, and then boarded the flight to Seattle, my connection to the airplane to Hawaii. We stayed in the Seattle for three hours (about, maybe a little bit more). Then we took the plane to Hawaii (six hours long). Part of the airport was outside, and it was really warm. I only slept a few hours because all my sisters did all night was laugh and take off their pajamas. I finally got them quiet when the older one stopped giggling and the little one was crying because she didn't get ice cream the next day. I told her that monsters liked to eat little girls that were crying, and that definitely quieted her down. All morning we've been taking a walk around the Waikiki area, even dipping in the ocean in Honolulu. It's been really hot, and now we're going to the swimming pool.

Thanksgiving (November 25th, 2011)

I have something to explain: I really am not in Washington. I'm in a town called Reston that's really close to it, so I think of this as that I am in the outskirts of Washington, but technically I'm not. Anyways, about the title of this post. I know that Thanksgiving was on the 24th, but today's the 25th, so I'm just putting the date of today on the top, not yesterday. Thanksgiving was very different from other Thanksgivings I've had, because I had the feast halfway between lunch and dinner! my cousins called it linner. We never had dinner, just a choice of pie. There were three pies: apple pie, chocolate pecan pie, and carrot cake. I naturally picked the one I had never tried before and went for the chocolate pecan pie. It was delicious, handbaked by my aunt. It tasted like she had melted fudge into the crust, and then put pecans and top and added chocolate and sugar on top of them! As I told you we would, we had turkey AND ham. I had seconds of the ham. A list of the other foods (I may miss some): stuffing, mashed potatoes, bread, cranberry jelly, gravy, butter, some thing with mashed sweet potato with pecans and sugar on top of them (that was the last thing I ate, you know, best for last!). It was delicious,  but this morning I was so hungry from the shortage of dinner that I ate literally 5 crepes (french pancakes that are better than normal pancakes). I am sure that this was probably the funnest Thanksgiving ever! Plus, it was a strange one. I was working really hard to make a present for one of my friends because her birthday party is going to be like the same night I'm going to come to Denver (saturday). I hope she likes it!

The Events of Wednesday, the 23rd of November

Today my family decided that we should go somewhere out of my grandparents' house so we did: to the Smithsonian. I know there are tons of Smithsonian museums all over the world, but this one is by far the best: The Air and Space Museum. And to be specific, the air and space museum they used for filming a scene from Transformers II. The blackbird airplane (the airplane they used for the old transformer that they woke up and destroyed the museum), was probably one of my favorites. It's one of the fastest planes that have ever been on earth. When it was retired they flew it from L.A. to Washington in an hour, four minutes, and maybe 20 seconds? That's amazing. My cousins also came. After dinner they all started screaming (my sisters joined in) and running around. I tried to calm them down by giving them a "show", but that made them all the crazier. I shut myself in the bathroom (with a lock, luckily) and practiced my flute. I know this sounds weird, but the sound sounds really good, and I think its the best place to practice in anyways, since nobody goes into the bathroom that much. That's where my day concludes (with my sister screaming in the background).

Washinton D.C. (continued)

We have been in Washington for two days now. Now, I think I forgot to mention something: we're in Washington D.C., not the state. I am starting to wrap the presents that I am going to give, and I am going to be forced to play a concert in front of everybody. I have started painting a painting on a canvas with a water lily, or whatever its called. I cannot think of any other projects to do, so please send ideas! My dad just came back from a walk that started at like 8:00 in the morning, and ended at 2:30 in the afternoon. And it was pouring outside the whole time. My cousins are coming tomorrow for thanksgiving, and I hope we'll have a great time!

Washington

My family has arrived in Washington! My last day of school was really sad. Some friends of mine decorated my locker, and everybody signed some papers that were up there, even people I didn't know! I said goodbye to all my friends, and had a hugging session after school. My family moved out of our rented house and we spent a night in one of our friends' houses. Later in the morning we drove to the airport and got on a jet. We flew for about two hours to Kansas City (which I don't think is in Kansas, but Missouri), then got on another jet that took about two hours to get toWashington. By the way, whenever you fly on an airplane to somewhere make sure that it is not a jet. The thing was so loud that my ears hurt a day later. I am now staying in my grandparents' house. On Thanksgiving we're going to have turkey AND ham, since we usually have Christmas here. I already have all but one of the presens ready to give.

background

So, as I said before, I am moving to Australia in three days. I have two little sisters. We are not going directly to Australia. First we are going to Washington D.C., to visit some family members for a week. We are stopping a night in Denver before we go to our next destination: Hawaii, which is about ten hours of flying on a plane. We are going to stay there for five days, and then later finally arrive in Australia, right on time for Christmas and summer vacation.

Getting Started

In three days I am moving to Australia. I am very excited and nervous. I give thanks to some responsible friends for helping me create this blog. I will write in it when something interesting happens and hopefully you'll enjoy!
